Beenie Man ties the knot

It’s official ladies! Dancehall King Moses “Beenie Man” Davis is off the market and the lucky Queen is Jamaican dancehall singer Michelle “D’Angel”.

One hundred and fifty guests witnessed an emotional Beenie Man “tie the knot” with D’Angel on August 22nd in a posh ceremony at Crichton Estate, Jamaica.{{more}}

Beenie Man who was there an hour earlier was cracking jokes and singing several tunes to keep the guests lively and at one point he comically asked, “Where is my wife?”

A hush then came over the invitees as the bride who was escorted down the isle by her uncle looked breathtaking in her off shoulder satin gown which was decorated with crystals.

Both entertainers recited their vows with sincerity as Reverend Al Miller, officiated the ceremony and reminded the gathering of the sacredness of marriage.

The gathering then moved to the reception area where Beenie Man serenaded his new bride to the song, “Woman I Need You.”

Meanwhile, deejay Vybz Kartel caused a stir with his appearance at the event as a member of “The Alliance” which was lead by D’Angel’s ex-boyfriend and Beenie Man’s main musical rival, Bounty Killer.

It’s also reported that the recently married Vybz Kartel walked unto the stage and shook Beenie Man’s hand, saying “Welcome to the club, you already know that I am Mr. Palmer.”

Describing Beenie Man as a legend, Vybz Kartel said that he had to witness the union and even sang to the couple the song, “Even If I Neva See You Again.”

Also in attendance at the high-class affair were Ministers of government, other Dance Hall artistes and international entertainers, such as Hulk Hogan, Janet Jackson and Jermaine Dupri.

Searchlight’s Buzz Magazine however was tipped off that there was romance in the air between the two dancehall artistes when they made an appearance at the P’Tani Resort at Argyle for a small show in January.

Beenie Man and D’Angel are expecting their son, Marco Dean in October.
