Regional models to fly in for Fashion Caribbean

With the fashion world beginning to buzz as designers and models the world over get ready for the busiest of fashion seasons, Vincentians will certainly not be left out. For the past five years, St. Vincent & the Grenadines has been a part of this onslaught of couture and this year will be swamped with the lovers, and creators of fashion, with evenings filled with glamour and style.{{more}}

The Image models are rearing to go, the designers have been contacted, and the regional press is waiting. This year, business houses and regional models have also been added to the show’s roster of participants.

The agency’s Market Place is set to be the main feature of this year’s three-day event; however the highlight still remains the Fashion Show.

This year the show is scheduled to feature models from St. Kitts, Guyana, and Grenada alongside the troupe of local models.

The participation of these models is part of the agency’s aim to make Fashion Caribbean a complete Caribbean package. It is the agency’s hope that with the Market Place, Fashion Caribbean’s appeal will increase greatly to include an even wider sector within the region. The agency has outlined a three-year plan which is geared at increasing the numbers of visitors to the event, as well as to create additional foreign exchange in the island.

Fashion Caribbean will be held at the Cruise Ship Berth, and runs from Friday 1st to Sunday 3rd September, with the fashion show on the night of Saturday, 2nd September, 2006.
