Image hosts model search this weekend

Dreams by aspiring models of becoming an international model might not be that far from reality. In fact this weekend may just prove to be the launching pad to an international modelling career when the Image Modelling Agency hosts its final casting call, model search, for Fashion Caribbean tomorrow, Saturday 22, at the Oasis Spa in Villa (next to Iguana).

Scores of budding talents would be in the line up tomorrow from 4 pm to give model scouts a glimpse of what they have to offer.{{more}}

The local fashion agency would be keeping an eye out for females ranging in height from 5′ 9” to 6′ to complete their list of models for the big fashion event this summer.

Monique Arthur-Tash Managing Director of the Image Modelling Agency said: “This model search was as a result of numerous requests from overseas models and agencies who had heard of Fashion Caribbean and wanted to be a part of it,”

According to Arthur-Tash the modelling agency has decided that on this, the 6th year of Fashion Caribbean and the 10th Anniversary of the Image Modelling Agency, that this was the right time to accept their requests.

Arthur-Tash noted that invitations were also sent out to other modelling agencies locally to ensure that local models were adequately represented on this year’s Fashion Caribbean.

“We are encouraging young men and women with no modelling experience or who are not attached to any modelling agency to also try out for this opportunity,” Arthur-Tash said,

According to the director “the agency has had tremendous interest shown both here in St Vincent and abroad and is happy to give the opportunity to promote the designs of some of the Caribbean’s top designers to the people who have shown interest. We already have some great guys and girls so far and are looking forward to seeing those who come to the casting call on Saturday.”

Registration fee for the casting call is $10.
