Luta out of Carnival action

Rondy McIntosh also known as “Luta”, is dispelling claims that there are differences between him and the Carnival Development Corporation (CDC).

On Wednesday, July 5, he disclosed that he is at home on sick leave after being diagnosed with Chicken Pox.{{more}}

Luta said on Friday, June 30, he had gone to Barbados to do a show when he realized that he might have the ailment. The popular artiste said the following day, he went to the doctor who confirmed he had chicken pox and recommended he spend the next 10 days on sick leave. His leave ends next Monday, the same day the big street jump up will be staged in Kingstown.

Although he was feeling unwell, Luta said he still made it to the “Scandalous Show” last Saturday night where he indicated to patrons he will not be making anymore live appearance for 2006.

He said this might have propelled some people to believe that he and the CDC are not on terms.

“That is not the case,” said Luther “I am home on sick leave”.

Luta said he will be going to the doctor soon and if all is well he will be back on the weekend.
