Blue Angels give a heavenly presentation at mini fashion show

The Blue Angels Personal Development Agency got patrons in the carnival spirit, when they featured several costumes by Nelson Block at their second annual tea party and mini fashion show on Sunday June 4, 2006 at the Catholic Pastoral Center at Edinboro.

The audience also responded favourably when three young designers got the opportunity to showcase their work at the event, which was sponsored by Lipton Teas.{{more}}

Former School for Children with Special Needs student Nelly Laborde who has created a crochet line, was definitely a hit with the patrons in attendance. Laborde who produces her pieces on demand, learnt her skill while attending school.

Kimberly Doyle’s cool, casual yet sultry designs in a rainbow colours also stirred up some reaction. Adono “KONG” Bramble a Graphic Designer/ Artist showcased his hip T- shirt collection with pieces that had the themes “Vincy Bottom”, “Hustler”, “Hustler Honey”, VBT (Vincy Black Trend), and “No Snitching printed on them.

The Blue Angels Personal Development Agency is dedicated to affording youths from different social backgrounds the opportunity to acquire training in social graces, money management, job preparation, moral values, personal hygiene and modeling.

The Agency is also engaged in an AIDS sensitization project at the Campden Park community as part of their effort to stop the spread of the disease.

They have printed graphics on mini-buses promoting messages on condom use, voluntary tested and AIDS stigma, and later this month hope to erect billboards.

The Blue Angels Personal Development Agency will also be conducting workshops involving youths and will host a drama show.
