PM steps in to assist Fatty Dan

Calypsonian Aloma ‘Fatty Dan’ Cadougan is now at the Eric Williams Medical Centre in Trinidad and Tobago, through the intervention of Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves and Trinidad and Tobago’s Prime Minister Patrick Manning.

Cadougan left the State on Saturday June 3, 2006 via a chartered flight accompanied by her daughter and a nurse anesthesist. A team of cardiologists has been assembled by Trinidad and Tobago’s acting chief medical officer to attend to Cadougan.

Prime Minister Gonsalves has also made a personal financial contribution to Cadougan.

Cadougan, a former National Female Calypso Monarch has been diagnosed with heart and liver problems.
