Cantemus grabs cup for Best Choir in Trinidad

The female ensemble ‘Cantemus’ returned from Trinidad last week Wednesday after successfully competing in the championship finals of the 27th Biennial Trinidad and Tobago Music Festival.

Earlier in March, the group had competed in the festival in the category of Religious Music Ladies Choir and won.{{more}}

This victory allowed them to return to Trinidad to vie for the Mary Elizabeth Evans Cup given to the best religious music choir.

On the night of the finals the ensemble was adjudicated first after competing against five other groups from different zones throughout Trinidad and Tobago.  The ensemble now holds the title of Best Religious Music Choir of the festival.
