Allegro Dancers Making Their Mark

By Kenara Woods

The Allegro Dance Group is making its mark not just as a dancing group but also as a group bent on looking out for people.

The Dance group, which has been in existence for the past 10 years, specialises in all forms of dance including Latin and Ballroom dancing. The group has made a number of donations to various organisations throughout the country. {{more}}

On the 15 February, 2006 the group visited the Thompson Home and gave a small performance, exhibiting their various dance skills.

In an interview with SEARCHLIGHT, President, Jackie Jack said their group is not only about dancing but they are always on the look out for ways to contribute to the community in one way or the other. “We are doing this as part of our outreach program and we want to be seen as more than a dance group.”

The group also plans to travel with the Hairoun Theatre Company to Barbados in May and will be putting on a production of their own in August.

The group meets every Wednesday and Friday at the Peace Memorial Hall.
