Singer Lynx brings magic to Vincy Mas

WeFM Singer Lynx is out front this Carnival.

In its second year of existence the mas band from Sion Hill is the first to launch its mas for Vincy Mas 2006, on Sunday, January 29 at the Kingstown Anglican School Annex grounds.

Band Leader, Cornelius Thomas, said the band is confident that it would perform excellently this year after winning ‘Sections from the Band’ in 2005, third for the Junior Sections (Boys) and Queen of the Bands and fourth for Kiddies Carnival.{{more}}

After placing sixth overall out of 12 in last year’s Mas competition with “Books We Love”, the band is confident that it can be outstanding this year with “Abracadabra”, a magical concept.

The band’s nine sections this year are (Adults) Magic Warrior, Dark Magician, Female Bearer, Deem Light, Enchanting Beauty, Black Magic Woman, Tinkerbel and (Children) Aladdin and Magical Wing Weaver.

WeFM Singer Lynx was conceived by Glenford Quashie and the band’s 15 members are drawn from various bands across the country
