Beauty does well for SVG

The second runner up in the Miss SVG pageant La Keisha Williams has copped the first runner up position at the Miss Ecstasy Beauty Pageant held in Anguilla on Saturday, July 23.

Williams who narrowly lost the crown by half a point to Nicole Seales, first runner up in the Miss Carival show, also took the Miss Congeniality award, Best Gown and Interview tittles. Chairperson of the Beauty Shows Committee, Cheryl Rodriquez said participation in shows of this nature is part of the Carnival Development Corporation’s (CDC) way of giving the ladies exposure after Vincy Mas festivities, while promoting St.Vincent and the Grenadines. {{more}}

At the event held at the CDC office on Monday July 25, Rodriquez expressed gratitude to local cable tv company, Karib Cable for sponsoring first runner up in the Miss SVG Pageant, Shanika Findlay to participate in the Miss Jaycees Caribbean Queen Show which was held in Antigua on Friday July 29.

Findlay represented this country under the tittle of Miss Karib Cable St.Vincent and the Grenadines. The Miss Jaycees crown was captured by Miss Barbados Princess Best.
