Dragons takes Junior King, Players grabs Queen title

Last year’s Band of the Year Heineken Dragons was not as successful as they were last year but still had at least one reason to celebrate. They copped the Junior King of the Bands title with Chavez Smith in his costume “Celebrating Double ten”. {{more}}

He beat KFC SVG Players’ International with their depiction “Celestial Rickshaw runner carried by “Emery Cabral”.’

Third spot went to Pepsi Artisans’ Sharmade Wyllie with “Bright Africa” from the band’s “The Golden Age of arrival”.

High Voltage’s Amin John with a portrayal “PanKaimas” placed fifth ahead of Digicel Nelson Block’s Kareem Charles who portrayed “Justice” from the presentation “You ask for it”.

Meanwhile, Donique John from the band KFC SVG Players International took the 2005 Junior Queen title for her portrayal “The Sun-Moon Lake”, from their presentation “Somewhere in Taiwan”. She beat Dragon’s Alika John who portrayed “Celebrating my birthday” into second.

Digicel Nelson Block’s Angelika Boyea placed third with “Colour fest”.

High Voltage placed fourth with a portrayal of “Freedom” by Glenisha Joseph while the Wizards Mas Camp’s Dinecia O’Garro placed fifth with “Love” from their presentation “Wishes.”
