Madzart, Bunji collaborate

Vincentian entertainer, Ryan “Madzart” Primus is bringing a fresh taste to this year’s Carnival.

The entertainer and lead vocalist for local band HS Phaktor recently released a single with colloborative efforts from Trinidadian Soca Star Bunji Garlin. The track, a remake of his hit tune Poor People Song was done here in St. Vincent at the Non Fiction studio owned by Alex Barnwell.{{more}}

Fans of the former Soca Monarch champ, are eagerly awaiting the release of his new album due to release on June 27. Featuring 21 tracks and 16 song, The Madd Symphony is expecting to be a big seller among music stores.

With another Bunji collaboration due to hit the airwaves on June 20, the future is certainly looking good for the local entertainer.

Primus explained his relationship with the Trinidadian to SEarchlight: “Bunji and I hooked up when he came here in 2004. When we travel to Caribanna, Labour Day and so on we vibes.” So far, a number of local acts have jump started the Carnival season with early releases since Easter.
