Last week Friday, Urban Mystic and the Honky Tonics, both from Bequia, performed during the pre-show activity that attracted an even larger crowd to the usually busy venue. The pre-shows are structured to highlight the local artistes scheduled to perform during the two-day event with the last pre-show activity scheduled for January 21st.

The headliners for Blues Fest 2005, which will be held on January 28 and 29 at Buccama on the Bay, are Rythym & Blues singer Millie Jackson, reggae band Steel Pulse and Dominica’s songbird Michelle Henderson.

Among local groups scheduled to perform at the pre-shows and at Blues Fest itself are: Sonjay & Friends, Abuza, Touch, Yaphatu, X-pressionz and Skarpyon among others.

Artistes from the United Kingdom, the United States, Dominica, Barbados and St. Lucia will also perform at Blues Fest, which last year featured Third World and The Manhattans.
