Pay special attention to kitchen walls

Last week, November 29th, 2007, my wife and I celebrated 4 years of Happy Marriage!!! That’s only 4, but we’ve been together for 12 years now. We started dating on the 15th August 1995! Don’t ask me if I remember that date all by myself…it slipped out of her mouth last week, and I made a note of it in my phone…. I was NEVER going to ask her for the exact date. I hope she lives to see many, many more years to come (with me of course). Thanks be to God!{{more}}

This week, we want to talk about walls in the kitchen; we’ve been doing this for a few years now and one thing we can always guarantee is that 98% of the time, when we go to do installation in a kitchen, the walls are either not straight, plumb or perfectly square or most of the time, neither one. The floors sometimes aren’t level, so you end up cutting back, fitting and messing up your work just to try and accommodate the kitchen walls. We see it sometimes in old houses, but it’s really sad sometimes to see newly built homes with messed up kitchen walls, which is unacceptable, unless it is unavoidable.

Special attention must be paid to the construction of the walls in the kitchen and the bathroom. Here are some of the reasons why: Cabinets have to be installed on the walls. If the walls are out of line, the cabinet would show up the bad walls even more, thus making your home look unfinished. The same emphasis must be placed on the walls in the bathroom. Tiles bring out the beauty on bathroom walls and also show up bad walls as well. You don’t need to, although you should, put emphasis on say, a wall in the living room, because 90% of the time, you may not have to hang or install anything on that wall.

Ask your builder or contractor to take special care with the kitchen and bathroom wall construction. If they get that right, then your cabinets, floor and wall tiles would do wonders for your home.

Our company is on the verge of making life a whole lot easier and cheaper for you in a few days. Look out for the information. I’m not allowed to say what it is as yet, but you will be the first to know! Talk with you next week.
