Seasoned Rice

You will need:

1 lb white rice
1 pk maggi chicken noodle soup
4 cups water
1/4 lb bacon cuttings
1 tbsp oil
1 tbsp tomato ketchup
1 sweet pepper chopped
1 medium onion chopped
Salt and black pepper

Method:

Fry bacon and onions together with oil in a saucepan until onions begin to brown. Add dry soup mix and ketchup. Stir in 4 cups warm water. Add rice, green pepper and cook about 45 minutes until rice has taken up all the liquid. Add salt and pepper to taste. Serve as a dish. Makes 4-6 servings.
