Beat the heat drinks

Once again the heat is upon us, so it’s all about the cool downs. Here are two quick and easy drinks to beat the heat.

Lemon Pie Milkshake

You will need:

4 scoops vanilla ice cream

3/4 cup milk

1/4 cup lemon pie filling

Optional Garnishes – 2 Graham crackers (smashed into crumbs)
and whipped cream{{more}}

Method

Add the scoops of ice cream and the milk into food processor or blender. Process/blend until fully combined. Add more milk or ice cream to desired consistency. Add the lemon pie filling and blend well. Pour milkshake in your glass, top with whipped cream and sprinkle with Graham cracker crumbs.

Tropical Slushie

You will need:

1.5 cups Berry Blue Hawaiian Punch

1.5 cups Pineapple Juice (12 oz)

8 ice cubes

Method.

Pour 1.5 cups (two 6 oz cans) of Pineapple Juice into a shallow freezer-friendly dish or ice cube tray and freeze overnight. Place Hawaiian Punch in fridge to chill. Once the Pineapple Juice has frozen, combine with chilled Hawaiian Punch and ice cubes in blender. Blend until well combined and slushy; transfer to glasses and enjoy.
