Chocolate Chip Peanut Cookies

Simple, tasty and always a good time to have some.

You will need:

1 cup brown sugar

1 cup sugar

2 sticks butter, soft

2 tsp vanilla

2 eggs, beaten

3 cups all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp salt

1 cup nuts, chopped

2 cups chocolate chips

Method.

Preheat oven to 375. Cream together the butter and sugars.  Beat in vanilla and then the eggs one at a time. Measure then sift flour, baking soda, salt and beat into creamed mixture. Stir in nuts and chocolate chips. Drop by teaspoon onto baking sheet and bake 8 minutes. Makes 4 dozen cookies or so. So, if you don’t need that much, then you can halve the portions.

Tip – For a thicker cookie, simply chill the dough overnight and it will come out a bit thicker than room temperature dough. If you want caramel, you can cut up pieces of caramels and place in the batch.
