I am on a rollercoaster of love

Share

Hey Rosie!

I am a 25-year-old ambitious young woman who is caught up in a rollercoaster. I have two boyfriends. Yes I know it sounds really bad.

The situation is, I currently reside in the USA. I have a boyfriend here in USA and one also in SVG. The one in SVG and I are madly in love and the one in the USA really loves me, but I only like him and he supports me financially.{{more}} He also knows that I have a boyfriend in SVG, but he really loves me and it doesn’t seem to bother him. I am really caught up here.

Confused and don’t know what to do

Dear Confused and don’t know what to do,

Well you are caught up in some serious business here! Yes it does sound bad that you have two boyfriends, one of whom is in on the real deal. Then we have the other who is not. What would you like me to say that a smart young woman as yourself doesn’t already know?

Should I say, “It is wrong to have these two men in your life for two different reasons?” Or, “You shouldn’t be with a man that you don’t love, and definitely not for his money?” Then ending with “Playing this game is not going to end well for all three people involved?” No, I will not say these things to you, because I think pretty much you know this is wrong.

Can you pick one of these guys and make a go of it? This will totally be up to you. I really do feel for the man at home who is left in the dark. He has no clue that the love of his life maybe two-timing him. Let me put it to you this way, what if the shoe where on the other foot and you were being played like this? You would be the first one to be very upset. So take a look again from another vantage point, do the right thing and make a decision that is fair and decent to all involved.

By the way, the guy in the US is happy with the status quo because you aren’t demanding anything other than what he is giving you. So he is having the best of both worlds also. You can absolutely do better than this situation you have created for yourself. I hope you make the right choice. Good Luck.

A note from Rosie

Hello Everyone,

I would like to thank all of the readers and supporters of my column “Hey Rosie”. Your feedback, support and input have been invaluable. As this column continues to evolve, I see a major need arising within our community among our young people. Many of my readers are very young people (mostly teenagers and young women) who are in crisis. Some of them write to me privately, as their stories are too painful and they do not wish to share it with the public.

My plea/request today goes out to the various professionals in our communities. Those of you who specialize in helping guide our young people through various traumas, such as rape, incest, teenage pregnancy, drug addition and so forth. This is an opportunity to form an alliance. An alliance through private and discreet methods to reach out, offer your assistance and expertise.

If you think that you can assist me in this mammoth task I would truly be grateful. Please email me at: heyrosie24@yahoo.com. I would like to create a network and a safe haven where our young people can feel free to unburden themselves and get the true help that they deserve. I thank you in advance for any assistance that you may be able to give.

I would really like to thank all of you who have responded so far. Your generosity to give of your time is truly wonderful and encouraging. It also lets me know that anyone from any walk of life at any age can make a difference to someone else once given a chance.

Much Blessings and Thanks.

Rosie a.k.a Rosanne Small-Morgan
