I love him but he has a girlfriend

I’m in love with a boy for 5 months now and he has a girlfriend, but he tells me he doesn’t love her and he’s trying not to hurt her feelings. For the past 2 months, this boy and I have been going out and stuff like that. I was wondering if I should stick with him or move on with my life (which I don’t want).{{more}} He said that he loves me…and I was thinking of staying with him. I love him and I don’t want to move on.

Forgive me, but it sounds like you’ve made up your mind already! Do you think that I am going to say: “Stick it out, he sounds like a winner?” I think you already know that you shouldn’t hold your breath. He is u-s-i-n-g you! Plain and simple. He is having his cake and eating it, too.

You know that this isn’t the best situation for you. But you blindly are going along for the ride. Why? Aren’t there other worthy young men out there besides this guy? He has a girl, but he is cheating on her with you! You are the other woman. He says he loves you. Please, those are just empty words. Run, don’t walk away from this situation! You are setting yourself up to be hurt. Aren’t you worth more than this?

He isn’t going to leave his girlfriend. You are going to feel really crappy in a little while. Before this gets further out of hand, end it now. I know this isn’t what you want to hear. But I am here to support you in doing the best for yourself. Not to be your “yes man”. Do the right thing.
