Dickson farmer charged with murder of teenager

DICKSON RESIDENT and farmer Veron Bushay, 29, will appear at the Serious Offences Court today in relation to the death of fellow villager Kaif Fraser.

Bushay is charged that with malice aforethought, he caused the death of Fraser, 18, a laborer.

The accused is alleged to have stabbed Fraser on the left side of his neck with a knife at Dickson Village at about 7:30 pm on Friday September 11, 2020.

Reports are that the deceased was at the home of the accused on the date in question when both men got into altercation which resulted in Fraser’s death.

Fraser was later transported to the Georgetown Modern Medical and Diagnostic Center for treatment but succumbed to his injuries at 9:10 pm.

The accused is expected to appear at the Serious Offences Court today for an arraignment.
