Gomea resident wins $640,000 Super 6 jackpot

Winning $640 thousand is exactly what Moriah Primus needed to make her wish to help less fortunate children come true.

Primus visited the National Lotteries Authority (NLA) office in Kingstown yesterday to collect her winnings from the Super 6 draw that took place on June 26.

“It’s an amazing feeling. With just as low as three dollars, my life now has changed and I’ve been dreaming about this for a long time,” the Gomea resident said.

She said that she had a wish list for if ever her dream of winning came true. And now that it has, she hopes to check off some of the wishes on that list.

“One thing on my wish list was that if ever I win, I will help the less fortunate children. So now is a good time now that school is going to open. I’m thinking of helping at least three children with their education,” Primus said.

Anthony Dennie, the NLA’s product development manager said that Primus is the 12th Super 6 jackpot winner from St Vincent and the Grenadines.

And he congratulated the mother of two on winning and encouraged her to continue supporting the game.

“We are currently looking at making some changes to the Super 6 game and that very soon will be made known to the general public. I think changes that members of the public will appreciate,” Dennie said. “It is our hope that with these new initiatives that will come on board with regards to Super 6, that we’ll be seeing more persons playing the game and certainly, quite naturally making the revenue available so that we can support sports and culture.”

NLA chairman, Murray Bullock also congratulated Primus on her win. He revealed that Super 6 sales in St Vincent “are a bit sluggish.”

The chairman explained that the game is exclusively owned by WINLOT, a company owned by the four Windward Islands’ lotteries.

He added that the company was set up to develop sports and culture in the islands. Bullock also took the opportunity to encourage the public to support the game.

Primus’ winning ticket was a Quick Pick that was bought at Phillip Jack in Belair. The numbers were 3, 10, 12, 14, 15 and 17.
