PM calls on UN General Secretary

Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves (right), with Secretary General of the United Nations Antonio Manuel Guterres, as they emerged from a meeting last night. Gonsalves is on a visit to New York, during which he paid a courtesy call on the Secretary General. During the 90-minute meeting, Gonsalves and Guterres discussed the recent hurricanes in the Caribbean, the concept of ‘island exceptionalism’, geopolitics and a survey of some of the developmental problems and issues related to peace and security.
