Junior Calypso, Soca Monarch competitions sound off today
The stage is set for the 2017 Junior Calypso and Junior Soca Monarch competitions, which will take place today at the Victoria Park.
The Junior Calypso Primary School Competition, which was won by Kristian Christopher of the Layou Government School last year, will see performances from Kiara Hazell of the Paradise Primary School, Bequia, with the song âGrenadinesâ; Jontiel Burke of the Paradise Primary School, Bequia, with âFishing Lineâ; Alavonel Lavia of the Owia Government School with âGive me loveâ; Kaily Cyrus of the CW Prescott Primary School with âMy idolâ; Fidel Cyrus of the Kingstown Anglican School with âNever too Youngâ; Alexio Edwards of the Gomea Methodist School with âLifestyle diseaseâ; Eto Gordon of the Questelles Government School with âPlaying de Masâ and Zakiyah Garrick of the Kingstown Government School with âTouch down at Argyle.â
