Both men were also charged with attempted murder on Shelly-Ann Durham, a 27-year-old babysitter of Fair Hall and Mozart Lee, 39-year-old audio technician of Fair Hall, the baby’s parents.

At around 6:45 p.m. on Friday at Glen, Lee was installing a speaker in the vehicle of a client, when a gunman opened fire, striking Mozart in the upper chest just below his neck.

After Mozart was hit, the client fled the scene, and although the gunman chased him, he escaped unhurt. A parked vehicle was struck by a bullet during the chase.

During the chaos, Mozart’s girlfriend, Shelly-Ann Durham, 27, who was holding the 10-month-old baby was shot in both arms, the baby was also hit and later died.

When James and McFee appeared before the Serious Offences Court on Wednesday, they were not allowed to enter a plea as the matter is indictable; also, bail was not offered to them. The two will reappear at the Serious Offences Court on December 9.(AS)
