Bowmans delight children at Point light-up

As the season of goodwill continues, the Bowman family has been doing its part to spread cheer to the children of St Vincent and the Grenadines.

Last Tuesday, December 15, at Point Village, Lennox Bowman and other members of his family performed Christmas songs at the launch of the community’s Nine Mornings activities,{{more}} and the turning on of the lights.

Bowman said that in addition to providing entertainment at the event, his family donated toys to the children of the village – something they have been doing across the nation for over 15 years.

“We went there to perform, but also to give gifts to the children of Point. It’s something that we’ve been doing for over 15 years… We go around from village to village and look for children who we think would appreciate a little gift.”

He further explained that Point will not be the only community that benefits from the family’s generosity, as they will be visiting several other communities in the run-up to Christmas.

“We’re very much involved in Christmas and trying to build the Vincentianess about our Christmas, and building Nine Mornings,” he explained.

“It’s just something we really enjoy; we’re really a Christmas family, and love bringing joy to the kids. Some of these kids, some of them not even getting a little gift [for Christmas]. (JSV)
