Jomo’s constituency office restored

Yesterday, finishing touches were being made to the upper section of the constituency office of Unity Labour Party (ULP) South Leeward candidate senator Jomo Thomas, which was destroyed by fire last week.

Although taking a day or two longer than the five days projected last Friday by ULP {{more}}general secretary Julian Francis for the office to be rebuilt, construction is almost complete, with paint already being applied.

The upper half of Thomas’ office, which was being used as a bar and waiting area, was last Thursday completely destroyed by fire, while the lower half of the building, where the office is located remained untouched by the flames.

The Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVPF) told SEARCHLIGHT yesterday that the fire department has not yet determined the cause of the fire, but are continuing investigations.(AS)
