Belvedere man becomes 20th murder victim

Police on Thursday morning launched investigations into a shooting in the Belvedere area that left a 24-year-old man dead.

This country’s latest murder victim is Barnet “Bobby” Mckie of Belvedere.{{more}}

Unconfirmed reports are that McKie was shot in the Belvedere area sometime on Wednesday night, but his body was not discovered until Thursday morning.

On Thursday, persons took to social media offering condolences to the family of the deceased man.

Family members of McKie said on Thursday that they were too distraught to talk the media and would do so at another time.

Mckie’s death brings the number of murders in the country for the year to 20.
