Scores flock to Arnos Vale for ‘finger-licking good taste’
Following months of anticipation, the local franchise of Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) reopened its doors to the public in a soft launch over the weekend.
Scores of Vincentians gathered at the franchiseâs Arnos Vale branch to get a finger-licking good taste of the companyâs secret 11 herbs and spices.{{more}}
Persons could not contain their joy, as many took to social networks and posted photographs of their purchased meals.
KFC operations came to a grinding halt in March 2015 after it went into receivership.
In June, local businessman Kelly Glass and his niece Tessa Glass were officially awarded the KFC franchise by Yum Restaurants Inc.
Before going into receivership, KFC operated out of three outlets in St Vincent â two in Kingstown and the other in Arnos Vale. The franchise was held then by St Clair Investments Ltd, headed by businessman Ormiston âKenâ Boyea.
It is still, however, not clear if former workers of the franchise have been paid severance. (KW)
