Driver, police baffled as to circumstances surrounding car that had gone missing

How did a locked vehicle with a flat tire get from New Montrose to Paul’s Avenue without any signs of being broken into?

That is what the police and the vehicle’s owner would like to know.{{more}}

Mark McIntosh, the owner of Mercedes Benz vehicle PE657, told SEARCHLIGHT that on Tuesday night, he got a flat tire at New Montrose in the area of the Central Water and Sewerage Authority (CWSA). He said he left the vehicle there to get the necessary equipment to change the tire. According to McIntosh, when he returned, he was shocked to find that the vehicle was missing.

It was not until the next morning that the Mercedes Benz CLK430 AMG was discovered parked at the side of the road in front of the George McIntosh market at Paul’s Avenue.

Detectives investigating the matter noted that what is strange about the case is that the vehicle was moved from Montrose to Paul’s Avenue with a flat tire and that when the owner left it, the doors were locked and he took the keys with him. It was also noted that the vehicle had no signs of being broken into, was not vandalized and nothing was missing from the vehicle.(CM)
