Richland Park couple faces court on murder charge

A couple of Richland Park was yesterday remanded after being charged with the murder of Edwin Jack, 74, a farmer of the same address.

Wilfred Davis, 54, a farmer and his common-law wife Joyce Bobb, 43, were not allowed to enter a plea to the indictable charge when they appeared at the Serious Offences Court yesterday.{{more}}

Reports are that on May 28, the deceased and Davis, who is his nephew, were involved in an altercation, which resulted in the deceased sustaining a chop wound to his neck. He subsequently died.

The matter was adjourned to September 7 for preliminary inquiry. (KW)
