Police probing death of New Montrose businessman

This country has recorded its eighth homicide for 2015.

Dead is Cameron “Dot Com” Primus, a 38-year-old businessman of New Montrose.

According to a police press release, Primus was found dead in a vehicle at Walker Piece, New Montrose, with a gunshot wound to his head,{{more}} at approximately 3:18 a.m. yesterday morning.{{more}}

He was part owner of the Tree House Bar, located at Arnos Vale.

When SEARCHLIGHT visited the scene, the Toyota motor car in which the deceased had been found was parked in bushes a short distance from the main road.

The vehicle appeared to have sustained damage with a missing left side mirror.

According to one resident of the area, sometime after 3 a.m., he heard what sounded like three gunshots, which was followed by the sound of a vehicle speeding away.

Head of the Major Crimes Unit (MCU) Sergeant Atland Browne told SEARCHLIGHT that police responded to a report sometime after 3 a.m. in the area.

He said investigations are ongoing.
