Mr Caribbean hopeful seeking sponsorship

Model and dancer Godwin Charles is reaching out to the Vincentian public to give him the opportunity to become an ambassador for his country.

After placing second in the first ever Mr Caribbean pageant in Dominica earlier this year, Charles has been given the chance to represent St Vincent and the Grenadines in the Mr Caribbean International Pageant in October 2014.{{more}}

However, the 24-year-old explained to SEARCHLIGHT on Tuesday that sponsorship is an issue.

“The sponsorship that I’m worrying about right now is the registration fee, which is the amount of US$275 and I have to pay within 30 days; so, by the end of this month,” Charles explained.

“After that I will need sponsorship for suits. That’s basically all that I would need sponsorship for.”

The Arabesque dancer revealed that he has been sending out letters, but has not received any replies as yet.

“I have proven…that I can represent my country as a good ambassador, and I will be a good spokesperson for whoever decides to invest in me in terms of marketing strategies,” he declared.

Charles stated that he would be grateful to anyone that wishes to support his cause.

Persons or entities that wish to sponsor Charles can contact him at 1(784)455-2943 or email him at gglcharles@gmail.com

The Mr Caribbean International show is scheduled for October 6 to October 13 in Negril, Jamaica. The pageant is geared towards bringing men from around the Caribbean together to compete in areas of fitness, modelling, talent and public speaking.
