RSVGPF added to cast of SVG’s ‘Happy’ music video

Members of the Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force band teamed up with the Happy SVG film crew to add the finishing touches to the highly anticipated “Happy St Vincent” music video.

Last Friday, senior officers, along with sections of the police band, coastguard and recruits, paraded to the sound of the Pharrel Williams hit “Happy,” as they danced and clapped {{more}}along like “a room without a roof,” from the entrance of the fire brigade station, up Back Street, until they got to Heritage Square.

The officers, led by Commissioner of Police Michael Charles, participated in the exercise, as this country prepares to join the hundreds of countries, groups and organizations that have made their own version of the song and video, that has taken the world by storm over the past months.

Alexei Crichton, one of the coordinators of the music video, says that the project is in its final stages, and is expected to air by the end of this month.

Crichton said the film crew has been busy capturing various tourism, cultural, sports and traditional scenes around St Vincent and the Grenadines, in an effort to make the finished product “one of the best out there.”(JJ)
