Bobb beat out her five competitors for the title last Friday, June 3, at the La Croix Palletization Plant.

Kerlicer James, Miss Specks Concrete Products and Rusheder May, Miss Cappie’s Riverside, took the second and first runner-up spots, respectively.

But Bobb almost made a clean sweep of the prizes, as she took the Best Interview, Best Evening Wear and Best Talent prizes.

May also won in multiple categories, taking the Photogenic and Swimwear categories.

The prize for Miss Congeniality was taken by Kate Johnson (Miss Red Dog Garage).

Meanwhile, Bobb told SEARCHLIGHT that she is still coming to terms with her victory.

“I was overwhelmed, I was happy,” she said, adding that she was very confident.

But the young Richland Park lass said that victory did not come as a surprise, as she had worked hard and was pleased that all the hard work paid off.

She has very little time to soak in her victory, however, as the second year student of the Community College Division of Arts, Science and General Studies was writing her A level examination yesterday, Monday.

The budding lawyer said that she balanced her days by doing her house chores and studying for her exams in the morning; then, in the afternoon she would begin her training routine for the Miss P’tani pageant.

She is no stranger to pageantry, having won the first runner-up position in last year’s Bequia beauty pageant.

Bobb said that she will be looking to be a competitor in the Miss SVG show, perhaps in the next two years.

“I don’t want to rush into anything,” she said, adding that the time will give her the opportunity to gain some work experience.

She said that she has her mind on winning the Miss SVG title for the chance of winning a university scholarship.
