Some concerned parents and teachers along with curious onlookers vented their sentiments while waiting for information on the status of up to ten students who were being treated at the Accident and Emergency Department of the hospital.

Information reaching SEARCHLIGHT is that the van Flipper HN177 (pictured at left) overturned after clearing the Diamond stretch heading in the direction of Kingstown.

Students, along with the driver, whose name was given as Rohan Saunders, were rushed to the hospital with burns, bruises and aches. One student was said to be in serious condition, and admitted to the Male Surgical Ward.

The van Flipper was involved in another accident in January this year, in which Storm Gonsalves, son of Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves, was injured.

On December 31 last year, 13-year-old student of the Troumaca Secondary School Romario Marson was one of three persons killed when the passenger van in which he was travelling from Georgetown to Kingstown overturned on the new Argyle road.
