Head of the Public Relations Department of the Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force, Inspector Jonathan Nichols, is calling on all Vincentians to be on high alert for fugitives on the run in this country.{{more}}
Speaking to Searchlight on Wednesday, May 27, Nichols stated that the men are considered armed and dangerous and persons should not approach them or try to apprehend them in anyway, but instead, call the police for assistance. âWe do not want anyone playing heroes, or vigilante in such cases,â Nichols urged.
A total of ten men including four foreign fugitives and six Vincentian nationals are being hunted by the police.
Steve âNuppyâ Michael Jean, a St Lucian, is wanted for murder in St Lucia. Trinidadian, Anderson Roland Charles, 25, of #23 Belgrade Street, East Dry River, Port of Spain, is also wanted for murder in his country. Lois Poleon, 39, of St Lucia, is wanted in St Thomas, US Virgin Islands for breach of a bail bond. Barbadian, Allan Anthony Cutting, who goes by the moniker âRupoprtâ, is wanted in Barbados for controlled drugs, burglary and criminal damage.
The Vincentian nationals include murder suspect Osrick âHerbs Iâ Young of Caratal, Georgetown; Kelvin âKellyâ Harry, 29, of Fair Hall and Clare Valley is also wanted in connection with murder. Andy âBlackaâ Bennette of Chateaubelair is wanted for discharging a firearm, Anthony âTubâ Newbolt of Lowmans Hill, is on the run for non-payment of fines. Timron âOnionâ Peters Padmore of Chapmans Village is wanted in connection for robbery, while Gregory âGargamelâ Decaul of Lowmans Hill is wanted for several burglaries.
Nichols further mentioned that one of the fugitives has contacted police in Questelles about turning himself in, but has never shown his face. Admitting that the ongoing Vincy Pac exercise wouldnât get rid of all the fugitives, Nichols said it would put them on the alert that the police are hot on their trails.
