Third youth charged in vendor killing

Another young man was arrested and charged for the murder of Ashley “Semore” Warren.{{more}}

Raphael “Butter Bread” John, 19, of Layou and Glen, appeared before Chief Magistrate Sonya Young at the Serious Offences Court on Monday, February 16, facing the charge of murder.

Warren, a vendor, formerly of Largo Height, was shot in his neck at Long Wall on January 22, 2009. The 29-year-old succumbed to his injury at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital later that day.

This latest accused joins brothers Colin and Junior David who were charged on Wednesday, February 11 in connection with the same murder.

John and the David brothers were remanded and will re-appear in court on May 5, 2009. The accused are being represented by Attorney Arthur Williams (VM)
