Gun, ganja found in early raid

What started out as an argument between friends at Kingstown Park, ended with one gun (in picture at right) being recovered and one woman taken into custody by police.{{more}}

At about 7:30 Thursday morning, members of the Criminal Investigation Department were called in after one neighbour issued an alleged threat to another during a verbal altercation.

A search of the yard, which the neighbours share, uncovered one small, partially rusted, brown handle handgun.

During the search, police also uprooted one ganja plant found in some bushes nearby.

One unidentified young woman was taken into custody by police, and up to press time it was uncertain if she was going to be charged.
