‘Dappa’ gunned down at night club

Several shots to his head ended Jason “Dappa” Burgin’s life and left four children including a four-month-old baby fatherless.{{more}}

“Dappa” was at the popular Philo’s night club in Questelles when he was shot at around 3:10 last Monday Morning by an unknown assailant. The 34-year-old was rushed to hospital but succumbed to his injuries.

When SEARCHLIGHT visited the grieving family of the slain young man at their Lowmans Leeward home, he was described as one who was always attentive to his family.

“He looked after his mother, nieces and nephews,” said one aunt.

Burgin’s younger sister, schoolteacher Karen Burgin described her brother as a fun loving person whom she would miss very much.

“I am just trying to hold on and be strong, what I go do he done dead,” said Evelyn, his mother.

At press time, police were still investigating the circumstances surrounding Burgin’s death and no arrest had been made.
