Three to take up posts overseas

A former Cabinet Secretary, a high school principal and a pastor are expected to take up new positions overseas at various St. Vincent and the Grenadines diplomatic offices.

According to Minister of Foreign Affairs Sir Louis Straker, Pastor Steve Phillips will take up the position as Consul General of the Toronto, Canada Consulate, principal of the Buccament Secondary School Maxwell Charles will take the post of Deputy High Commissioner at the St. Vincent and the Grenadines office in the United Kingdom, and former cabinet secretary Brendon Browne has been appointed OECS Ambassador in Ottawa.

Speaking to Searchlight, Sir Louis indicated that the new appointees are expected to take up their positions tentatively in March or later.
