Six get New Year’s honours

Six persons from varying fields of endeavour have received New Year’s honours for 2007 from Her Majesty the Queen.

The awardees include Bryan Jeeves, OBE who has been awarded the C.M.G. or Companion of the Most Excellent Order of St. Michael and St. George for service to the International Financial Services Sector.{{more}}

Dr. Gideon John Cordice and Mr. Patrick Eugene Prescod, both of whom are already Members of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire have been awarded the OBE or Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire for services to medicine and health and Music and education respectively.

Former parliamentarian , Alpian Rudolph Otway Allen has been awarded the MBE or Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire for service to education and the community.

Charles Cornelius James and Pauldric Emmanuel Moses have also received the MBE for services to agriculture and the community and business respectively.
