Police calls on bus drivers to ‘park aside’

A meeting of the National Omni Buses Association (NOBA) held last Tuesday, August 22, at Club Iguana in Villa threatened to boil over when it was interrupted by police officers from the Calliaqua Police Station. Mumbles, some loud and some quiet questions were asked when Station Sergeant Trevor “Buju” Bailey entered the meeting and asked drivers who parked their buses on the right side of the road to move their vehicles. The buses were parked on both sides of the road. While some angrily expressed their theory of conspiracy, Sergeant Bailey did not back down from the instruction that he gave.

Urged on by members of their executive the drivers complied and what threatened to boil over, simmered down quite nicely.
