WATERSPOUT

Last Saturday at about 3:30 p.m. people in the South Windward area witnessed this waterspout at Shipping Bay in the Biabou area.

A waterspout is an intense columnar vortex (usually appearing as a funnel shaped cloud) that occurs over a body of water and is connected to a cumuliform cloud. In the most common form, it is a nonsupercell tornado over water.
