A 35-year-old was remanded in custody yesterday because a woman he allegedly beat about the body last weekend continues to be warded at the Intensive Care Unit(ICU).

Although reports given at the Serious Offences Court yesterday, Monday December 23, are that 32-year-old Sherry Anne Joseph is stable, she is said to have sustained several injuries.

The vendor, according to crown counsel Renée Simmons, is being observed by medical personnel at the ICU.

Joseph is said to have been beaten about the body by an unknown object which was able to cut through her skin.
