Third police corporal charged with sexual misconduct

Another corporal in the Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) has been charged in relation to sexual misconduct, the third in two weeks.

On Wednesday, December 11, the corporal was taken before the Family Court, charged with burglary and indecent assault.

The court visit was in relation to the alleged sexual exploitation of a female who was in police protective custody. She is said to be a state witness in a murder case. The corporal is currently on $5,000 with one surety and has been ordered to surrender his travel documents.

Last week, another corporal was charged for allegedly raping the state witness and is also on bail.

Also last week, a corporal was granted bail in relation to the alleged rape of a 15-year-old girl. The police officer is accused of raping the girl on Sunday December 1 somewhere on the Leeward side of the island.

The corporal appeared at the Family Court last week Thursday and was granted bail in the sum of $8000 with one surety. He also has to report to the Questelles Police Station on Mondays between 7 am and 7 pm His next court date is Thursday February 20, 2020.
