Police corporal accused of raping girl granted bail

A corporal in the Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) was yesterday, Thursday granted bail in relation to the alleged rape of a 15-year-old girl.

The police officer is accused of raping the girl last Sunday somewhere on the Leeward side of the island.

The corporal appeared at the Family Court yesterday and was granted bail in the sum of $8000 with one surety.

He also has to report to the Questelles Police Station on Mondays between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.

His next court date is Thursday February 20.
