Rockies youth remanded for attempted murder charged

A 20-year-old from Rockies, charged with attempted murder, has been remanded in custody.

Yesterday, at the Serious Offences Court, Tevin Williams, a labourer from Rockies, was charged with the attempted murder of Shawphil Moore of Enhams.

The youth is alleged to have shot Moore in the jaw last Wednesday.

Prosecutor Adolphus Delplesche objected to bail for Williams, stating that the victim of the crime was in critical condition and was booked for surgery this Thursday.

Chief Magistrate Rechanne Browne-Matthias remanded the defendant into custody until next Monday, when there will be an update on the victim’s status.(KR)
