Former CLICO trio to stand trial for 20 counts of theft

Three former employees of Sun General Insurance Inc, charged with stealing $87,682.65 from the company between February 2015 and October 26, 2016, are scheduled to be tried on Wednesday, September 27.

Diana Quammie of Belmont, Shamair Michael of Lowmans Leeward and Shaffique Martin of Fairbaine Pastures have all pleaded not guilty to 20 counts of theft.

The trio is accused of stealing over $31,000 in cash, between February and December 2016 and over $56,000 in cash, between January and October this year from the insurance company.

They are on $90,000 bail with one surety and when they reappeared at the Serious Offences Court on September 4, senior prosecutor Adolphus Delpesche said that the prosecution is ready to proceed.
