Courts branch supervisor charged with theft of $15,000

A former branch supervisor of furniture and appliance store Courts was on Wednesday charged with theft of over $15,000.

On Wednesday, Afranka Hackshaw-Graham appeared at the Serious Offences Court charged that between May 8 and 13, 2017, she stole $15,699.37 from Unicomer Ltd in Bequia.

Hackshaw-Graham pleaded not guilty and was released on bail in the amount of $20,000 with one surety.

She is to report to the Port Elizabeth Police Station in Bequia on Mondays between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. and surrender all her travel documents and seek permission from the court if she wants to leave the country.

Hackshaw-Graham is subject to search at every port of entry and exit.

The matter was transferred to the Kingstown Magistrate’s Court and would next be heard on October 23, 2017.(JWC)
