Prisoner charged with attacking inmate
Another charge has been laid against a Belmont man who is currently remanded at Her Majestyâs Prison.
Jelani John, although facing a charge for assault causing bodily harm, allegedly slammed Damani Williams, another prisoner, to the ground during an altercation recently.
Reports are that Williams received an injury to his back as a result.
John appeared before the Serious Offences Court yesterday, however, the matter was adjourned to June 12, 2017 when he would return for trial. (AS)
